I saw them once in the seventies, topping the bill at Reading Festival. I was wondering, "What are these one hit wonders doing topping the bill over Eddie and the Hot Rods and Uriah Heep?" They showed me!They were one of the greatest live bands I have ever seen. They were melodic, constantly surprising and had that rare majesty onstage which only the greatest bands have. And they quickly won over a sceptical crowd. The highlight of the set was "Mad Love's A Coming". I had never heard it before, but I will never forget it. If you don't know it, look it up on YouTube.
