My husband was just fifty when he and I married. We've been married happy twenty two years. So far, it seems to be working! In a couple of years I'll be fifty myself. If you both put the effort into it and clearly respect each other AND understand that each member of this unit needs his/her own space it has a very good chance of lasting.
