First of all, I'm sorry I had to leave the song circle so early yesterday but I had a call from my sister who needed emotional support. I really enjoyed everyone's contributions up until then, and I know there were friends there I wanted to listen to. The question came up about Friday 13th and the Knights Templar, and as a medievalist that made me curious as I thought that whole story had been de-bunked. Actually, it seems it was invented in the 20th century, as it was unknown until then, although Fridays and the number 13 had long been individually considered unlucky. Can't do better than refer interested parties to Snopes Dan Brown and the authors of "The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail" have a lot to answer for!
