A few years ago I was involved in a ten day struggle to save a 50ft sperm whale which had taken a wrong turn and ended up trapped in the Firth of Forth on the east coast of Scotland. 'Moby' and I got to know each other well during those days and it made a big impact on me when he eventually died on a mudbank. Because of this "THE LAST LEVIATHAN" always brings a lump to the throat and even a tear to the eye.
