"explain why a pop musician has a place on a forum about folklore and folk music" Jim - apart from any reasons of respect and tolerance for diversity, a simple explanation is mudcat admin do not BAN foklies talking about other forms of music which bring joy to their lives... We could guess that over the last 60 years more amateur musicians started off by playing this tune, than any trad ballads or jigs...??? Many of these amateurs who now 60 years later are the life blood of folk clubs...
