What a delight to hear the voice of Jacqui McDonald this morning on BBC Radio 4's 'You & Yours' (last few minutes -about 12.50) It's a consumer programme & a phone-in - unlikely maybe but she sang a grand little song about Covid 19 bubbles. For those unaware of Jacqui & Bridie, there's a a fine tribute to them from Jean Ritchie, no less, at the start of this thread 12 years ago. I have happy memories of their regular visits to the Marsden Inn folk club in the 60s- always great fun, unpretentious entertainment! Probably not up to current perceptions of folk music, but different days & great to hear her again.
