Begi heard that there was a man in the village selling gold pots very cheaply, so he went to investigate. He found the merchant, surrounded by people clamoring for hsi gold pots. Begi examined one of them when no one was paying attention to him, and found that the pots were made of brass with the thinnest gold plate. So Begi urinated on the spot and put the pot down. He then pushed his way through the crowd and asked for a pot. The merchant asked him what he wanted the pot for and Begi answered that he was going to use it in the night so he would not have to leave his hut. Of course, everyone thought Begi to be a great fool, wanting a golden pot for this purpose. But Begi would not change his mind, and asked if he could test the pot he'd selected. After finishing, he lifted the pot and found the wet spot. Begi said to the merchant, "Even a golden pot is of no use if it leaks." And the people of the vilage drove the merchant away.
