“Both Barrels (Nately Scures” by Dick Henrywood has lots. ‘Originally inspired by signposts on the oft-travelled A303 pointing to Compton Pauncefoot, Sutton Montis, Corton Denham and Charlton Hawthorne, this tribute to double-barreled village names grew like Topsy with the aid of an AA Great Britain Road Atlas (1983 edition). The choice of odd names was huge but, rather ironically, none from the original signposts made the final cut. Finished in 2008 after several years’ procrastination.”
