The vast majority of the electorate do not belong to any political party and probably have little interest in the internal shenanigans of any of the various parties. Come an election, I am starting to think that a lot of people vote for the least worse party rather than the best party. I think it is definitely the case that a lot of voters do not agree with every item in a party's manifesto.
