Looks like an affordable priced copy of a Gibson F5 model, but with presumably with less expensive or responsive woods. I’m guessing, but it probably dates from the 1970s when makes like Aria produced a lot of Eastern built copies of high end western instruments. I had one of their five string banjos once, and it was a fairly serviceable copy of a Gibson Mastertone, albeit at a fraction of the price. The Aria Pro series were the better ones to go for at the time. |
