The Roy Palmer Lecture commemorates that well-known and well-liked folk song collector through an annual lecture given by a leading figure in folk song/folklore. It was necessary to postpone the lecture by Jeremy Harte, planned for September, until next year, but we are delighted that Jeff Warner has agreed to give an online talk – ‘Old Songs for New Folk: Interpreting the tradition for lay audiences’. This will now take place in an online event (Zoom) organised by the Traditional Song Forum on 29 November 2020 at 16:00 London time. Admission is open to all, free of charge.
