Part of the fabric of the north of England was Gerry, and a scouser par excellence. Liverpool FC will ensure Gerry's immortality, and he was their numero uno fan (or is that me...). But he was wonderful beyond that: Ferry Cross the Mersey, a virtual modern folk song. Don't Let The Sun Catch You Crying...But, most of all, You'll Never Walk Alone.
