Aside from a drop in pitch in later years, Gerry sounded the same as when I first saw him. Always a great professional and a contemporary of the Beatles and many others who built the Liverpool sound. Remember Mike Byrne & the Thunderbirds, Joey Day & the Night Hawks, The Clayton Squares & the Swinging Blue jeans to name but a few.
