I don't know your constitutional nuances at all well, but I can't see there being much appetite, even if it were possible, for a "post facto" impeachment. And the Senate is hardly a massive Democratic Party bastion, is it, so a two-thirds supermajority to convict him is pie in the sky, frankly. If Pence invokes the 25th Amendment, I'll happily eat my hat. But if Trump sees the force to be not with him any more, he may resign. But you seriously don't think he wants to go without trace, do you. As I was saying to Maggie, days of hope can end in bitter tears. As I also said to Maggie, I desperately want to be as wrong as wrong can be. It's not just your country. It's the bloody planet.
