Have you tried "The Lyke Wake Dirge?" It was sung by the monks of Northumberlanbd (England) as they carried the bodies of the dead across the moors, to the cliffs where they threw them into the sea.............the tune is very Gothic, and the song is hundreds of years old - and contains lines about being eaten by worms and burnt by fire. When sung with the right atmospherics (As on Pentangle's "Basket of Light" album) it makes the hairs on the back of my neck rise!
