I have tried all the "fancy" strings with funny coating and wild claims about enhanced longevity and tone, and didn't like them. Something in the feel and the sound. I always end up back with my basic D'Addario EJ16's. They're just perfect. Longevity isn't an issue for me because I buy strings in bulk and change weekly.
