I was sitting in the van today while Lady Hillary was shopping. A bald Eagle flew by with some sort of small animal [it looked like a rat] in its talons. As I had not heard of any of them establishing a nest in the neighborhood this may be an expansion of the eagles' coverage.
There was a report a few days ago of a young Baldy attacking a nest being brooded by a mated pair. He was driven off with no harm to the egg.
