Thanks, Dick. I'm not so deeply immersed in Irish music that I can't enjoy that, and I love the sound of the hulusi anyway. I picked one up in Beijing some years ago, and fooled around with some slower tunes on it, but never put in the time to learn a bona fide reel on it. Now it serves mainly as a conversation-piece sitting on top of the piano ..... It is an 'easy' instrument to play, like the tin whistle or recorder, but like any instrument, it's not easy to sound like the masters.
