Recently I've learned a term for the kind of thing the guy is doing in this song. It's called "mansplaining" i.e., stating the obvious in a condescending manner. While pretending to be helpful, mansplainers make it clear they think the woman is stupid. Because of course she knows it rains in Missouri. How else could it be so beautiful?
