Sorry to come late to the party, but I play and love a Lathkilldale Octave Mandola by Alan Marshall of Northworthy. A close friend also has a guitar bodied model by the same maker, though you may find a full scale length off putting, it can be quite a stretch unless you are an accomplished player.
