The only documented Lawsuit was Gibson vs Ibanez, and Ibanez changed their headstock design before it came to court. There was never a Martin 'lawsuit' guitar, only Japanese Martin copies. As Ray says its an urban myth thats been over hyped. A lot of them were well made from quality materials so I'm sure yours will be a good one.
