Stan Freburg was a genius. I heard about him growing up because he was friends with my mom after WWII when she was stationed in Pasadena (I think) California as a WAC at a military psychiatric hospital.

Some of his obituaries offer transcripts and links to his early work. The LA Times is a case in point.
