Probably nobody noticed I was gone, but I made a short trip to the US to visit family. I went to Philadelphia and Iowa City, but I didn't look up any mudcaters as I had specific things to do, and relatively little time to do them.
However, I did go to Acoustic Roots in Jenkintown where I bought a Martin 000-15S. I have been considering the Larrivee Parlor and that one. They are different in size and sound; but both have a slightly wider fingerboard than dreads and both meet the body at the 12th fret. I like both these features. As soon as I had the Martin in my hand for 15 min, I knew it was the one for me.
Some time ago I planned a trip to Philly and asked about guitar stores there. Somebody suggested Acoustic Roots and I remembered that. I don't remember who it was that made the suggestion, but many thanks. If anyone remembers doing it, make yourself kown.
That store and Vintage Guitars(?) on Pine St. were the only two interesting shops I saw.
