To expand slightly my post of Dec. 14, 2013, Emerson could only remember three lines: "Beat the drum slowly" and "So take me to the churchyard and throw the clods over me,/ For I'm a poor whore, and my mission is done." Emerson's letter to Gordon spells the words in a grotesque imitation of Irish dialect.
