The folk & traditional singers & musicians I repect don't give a monkey's about 'genre' and suchlike pigeonholes--they just get on with it and leave the history, sources and cross-references to the academics, and that's as it should be. We've covered this ground before, I know I'm iin a minority, but to me a song is a song & if it appeals to me, I'll sing it- simple maybe but I stand by it.
