MickyMan Group Sing - TUESDAY - Western CT/USA (1) Folklore: Group Sing - TUESDAY - Western CT/USA 04 Jul 21

If you are in the area, search up the EVENT on Facebook as "Group Sing - TUESDAY - Western CT"
(Get on this Facebook EVENT so you be notified of any changes or cancellations)

Whatever you like to call it - It's fun and free!
So many names for this floating around - Unnacompanied Group Folk Sing, Pub Sing, Group Harmony Sing, Folkie Song Fest, Trad Song Circle. Lots of names in the traditional folk music world for this kind of thing! We just know it's fun to do! Somebody leads a song that they know the verses to, and everybody joins in on the choruses. Improvised harmony erupts! Human musical interraction occurs! Fellowship abounds!
Join us before sunset (with your lawn chair - without instruments) in the beautiful grotto next to the centuries old chicken coop, recently renovated by the Bethlehem Land Trust.
No experience necessary ..... lead a song that you know, join in on the choruses, or sit back and enjoy listening.
Western Connecticut really needs one of these informal, recurring happenings, and we are hoping to get it off and running this summer!
-PLEASE CLICK "INTERESTED" if you are even thinking of coming. We'll update this "event post" as needed, but I'm not all that proficient when it comes to the proper sequence of publicizing recurring weekly events. Please bear with my limited Facebook technique.
-RAIN: FULLY VACCINATED PEOPLE WILL SING INSIDE THE NEWLY RENOVATED CHICKEN COOP. (pictured above)
-Dress extra warm. Bring some additional layers. Things suddenly get quite chilly after dark.
-Facilities: The Land Trust has an extremely well maintained, unusually clean portalet a few steps away.
-Blue Book: Bring one if you happen to own one. To get things moving at the start of the evening, we may be using it a bit. "Blue Book" [Rise Up Singing-Bk 1] only if you already own one.
-SHARE THIS EVENT We need people to get this off the ground.
DIRECTIONS and PARKING: As you go through the beautiful "Little Town Of Bethlehem" on Rte 61 in either direction, you'll soon reach a four way stop with a blinking light at the north end of the town green (junction of Rte 61 & Rte 132). Follow the little white signs for "BLT Event". (Bethlehem Land Trust) One of those signs will send you off of Rte 61 into an unpaved dirt driveway, up and over a hill through a hay field to a mowed grass parking area on the right. Walk toward the white barn buildings, in to your right through the old white metal gate toward the chicken coop.
GPS search the "Bellamy Ferriday House And Garden", or simply plug in Bethlehem CT. The "BLT Event" signs will take you from there.
