Is this the man you are looking for? Obituary for Bruce Barton Brooks, deceased November 15, 2017 The most notorious event in his lifetime is conspicuous by its absence from the obituary. This may suggest that the man who died is a different person. However: died in California the name of his surviving son is identical "He was an exceptional guitarist" He was an Illinois native (met Juliette Williamson there, yes?); and the man in the obituary, had his remains brought back to Illinois for interment. The obituary is surviving-family-oriented.
