Dupont:

The quality of the heat/humidity seemed to affect me less today. After BF I dashed off to the library, then to the grocery - too busy so I returned home. But it was good to return a pile of books!

I have set up a place for the distiller on the back deck so it is not generating heat in the K. Got it going this am and watered.... Even the canna in the front yard was wilting today but it is burgeoning with new shoots. The rain we had was minimal. The soil in the back garden is dry down to 3-4 inches. Watered it for a while. Even with large saucers, the big pots need almost a gallon twice a day. Even if I get all the tomatoes into the back garden I cannot trust they will survive without LOTS of water. And R is back to working 10-12 hour days, coming home about 11 pm. I am coming to acceptance that I am stuck here and need to find ways to make it better - basically to have a place to pot that is cool enough.

Went out to groceries about 6:30 when they were almost empty. Tolerable with car A/C and now back in the A/C of BR. Too cloudy to see the meteor shower. Hoping to get some things done on Sunday when it is predicted to be cooler - only about 75 - my limit!
