Not sure if this should be up in the Music section, but here goes. (puts on tin hat) :- I've just read in the paper that a 'streaming service' calling themselves Deezer in conjunction with some charity called Gendered Intelligence have commissioned the re-wording of several old and much-loved songs from the seventies and eighties. Examples of the new titles:- Woke Me Up Before You Go-Go Let It Snowflake Lord Madonna Safe Space Oddity Simply The Equal Best My Genderation Medium-Sized Bottomed Girls They (Charles Aznavour) Honky Tonk People They began with the song by The Weather Girls 'It's Raining Men', using more 'inclusive' pronouns. Now it's raining 'them' apparently. I'm having trouble getting my head round this. What the bloomin' blazes?? I don't agree with changing lyrics of old songs. In the world there are women and men as well as all the LGBTG folk. Why do we take the back seat nowadays? Ladies toilets are now open to anyone, even a physical man. We're being suppressed aren't we?
