Sad to hear this. I ran the sound desk for him a couple of years ago in Doncaster. By then, his hearing wasn't perfect and I reckon I put more volume on stage with the monitors than on the main PA... That said, his guitar playing was as ever inspirational and it was an honour to work with him. I've seen him a number of times over the years and whilst little of his music was memorable as tunes, his relentless playing, changing, playing again and never stopping got you in a zone, and unlike prog rock, did it with a solitary acoustic guitar.
