Sticky toffee pudding was ubiquitous on pub menus when I was last in the UK and my husband always ordered it. I never did because just looking at it made my teeth ache. I might have reconsidered if it had come with ice cream. I think I would eat a deep-fried road apple if it came with ice cream.
