My favourite memory of Paddy was his sense of fun whilst taking taking the music seriously.
I remember a concert I saw in Plymouth,the band were playing a tune in which Paddy played a phrase on whistle which was echoed by Derek Bell on harp.
Paddy changed the phrase slightly differently each time and glanced at Derek with a
cheeky gleam in his eye,Derek played each challenge perfectly.In the interval which followed man sat beside me asked what I was so amused by,he missed the joke completely.
R.I.P Paddy you will be sorely missed.
