Here is a piece we compiled especially for Hartlepool Folk Festival 2021 Online. Folkies on Film is a 30-minute presentation which takes a look through the (mostly) hidden history of your favourite folk stars' early (and not so early) appearances in TV shows and movies. (Think of it as sort of 'Where's Wally?' for folkies.) Aside from an utterly kick-ass theme tune specially recorded for us by David Delarre, this video contains footage of Jon Boden playing fiddle while dressed as a leprechaun, Ewan MacColl breaking every rule of acting (both known and unknown) and Tony Robinson harmonising with Tony Rose.
