#save The Cobblestone
I’m sure that many musicians, poets, singers and reciters who frequent this site may be aware that Dublin’s foremost traditional music pub, the Cobblestone, in Smithfield, Dublin 7, is under threat as the owners of the site plan to build a large hotel right beside the premises which will both engulf the present Cobblestone and take away about two thirds of its present area.

Protest marches have been held in Dublin over a number of weeks, and letters of objection have been lodged with Dublin City Council to try to prevent the owners from obtaining planning permission for the site.

There is also an online petition that we would urge all supporters of Irish traditional music to sign.
