FWIW here in the U.S. there are many dogs that are terrified of the fireworks that get set off in our neighborhood during July 4th, and New Years, many of them illegally. The old dog of my two closest friends had to be kept in a lighted room with the radio going full blast. I'm thinking that there might be an overpressure phenomenon for some dogs (clearly not all; some dogs seem to accept fireworks okay). We of course don't have any Guy Fawkes Day that I'm aware of. I'd love to attend some day.
