It also runs in my family. It is indeed nicknamed the Vikings Disease as it’s mostly Norse and Scots ancestry who have it. It goes to the Viking longships and the ever constant gripping and rowing which would have mutated the genes. Contributing agitators of the condition (increases development and worsening) include heavy tobacco use (more than a pack per day) alcohol addiction; underweight, occupations where hands are continuously used in repetitive tasks; etc. It’s more so very discomforting than painful. It’s treated by a day surgery. You can go home afterwards, but can’t drive for a couple days afterwards.
