Hope it isn't weird to refresh a thread this old. I was searching for Vulcan's Hammer on the site, to see what threads they were mentioned in and saw this. I never met her, wasn't even alive when she was making a lot of the music she made, but I have listened to her singing on both Vulcan's Hammer records for hours and hours. She had a beautiful voice and, more than that, she sang with that quality where you feel like you almost need to sing along. I have trouble putting it into words. She made the kind of music that makes me want to make music when I listen to it, you know? A friend showed me Vulcan's Hammer a couple years back, and they are his favorite band. Really amazing to think about how some people making now relatively obscure music with their loved ones, seemingly just for the joy of singing and playing together, can be listened to and enjoyed almost fifty years later by people who never got to hear it in person. I hope all those who were close to her are doing well and know that her music is still being listened to and loved. - Teefy
