Rain Dog Cobblestone pub, Dublin - threatened by developers (21) RE: Cobblestone pub, Dublin - threatened by developers 29 Nov 21

From The Guardian article

"The owner of the site, Marron Estates, have four weeks to appeal."

Guess it is a case of wait and see.

"we lost a great little pub with a public singing session years ago. We moved to 2 other venues - old folkies didn't drink enough in one,"

If they provided a separate room for the sessions I can understand the pub wanting to sell a few drinks to cover costs. I have noticed in my local that some groups, or rather some members of those groups, seem to think they can attend meetings while putting little or no money over the bar.

Of course some pubs will still welcome groups just to see a few extra people in the place. Every penny counts.
