All minority interests are seen by the great unthinking masses as something to fear and take the piss out of, because it doesn't conform to their mass-culture. Mass media has blown this out of all proportion. Those in power are happy to perpetuate this state of affairs. All you can do is make good music and hope that you inspire some people. You'll never inspire all of them.
