I remember John Pearse - he ran a course/club I went to on playing guitar and singing at Cecil Pearce House in London back in the early 60s, when I was just starting and he was a great teacher. And a lovely man. The programmes weegood to, with the same knack of being accessible and encouraging for beginners, but useful for anyone. His guitar strings, after he moveed to tge States, were pretty good too.
