The legends about Rizzio's contributions to Scottish music are total bollocks, entirely invented by James Oswald. By far the best set of words written for it: Duncan Ban Macintyre's "Lament for the Misty Corrie". I am not a Gaelic speaker and can't figure out how he meant it to fit. I've never heard it sung.
