The channel tunnel is in England? Only a bit of it Allan! Don't get me wrong here, I know what you mean. But your argument about who pays is flawed in a number of ways. Firstly, the population of Scotland is 1/10th of England so, tax wise, they contribute only 1/10th towards any UK projects. Secondly, the people of Scotland receive a far higher return on taxes than us in England because of the Barnett formula. Finally, you have cleaner air, better scenery, free University education and less congestion. Give us a break! The only advantage we have is that we get cheaper whisky but thay is only because Nicola Sturgeon hates booze :-)
