On Shrove Tuesday, winter is clearly weakening in Perth County, Ontario, but it won’t leave without a struggle. The light is now strong enough that I need to wear over-the-specs dark goggles for driving — except when it’s snowing like mad. Which it did over the weekend, and will do some more tonight and tomorrow. We keep the snow shovel handy well into May.
