Jon Bartlett 2021- End of Princeton Traditional Music Festival (15) RE: End of the Princeton Traditional Music Festival 23 May 22

"Any chance the Festival will be resurrected this summer?" - None, I regret to say. We hit the perfect storm in 2019 - now we have floods to contend with. Rika Ruebsaat and I have been out of our office since November, and have lost 200+ books, and many of Phil Thomas' original tapes of collected songs in BC -irreplaceable!

Nonetheless, as Rika said, we had twelve exceptionally fine years, and we hope that our Festival serves as a model for others younger, fitter and as blessed as we have been to take up the torch elsewhere.

PS we are now more authors than singers: Rika's book on summer camps will be out in the spring (New Star Books, Vancouver), as will mine on BC Communists in the early years of the great depression (U. of Athabasca Press)
