The platinum colour represents Her Majesty's 70 years on the throne, whilst the purple colour is synonymous with royalty." Well Bonzo, if I was (sort of) to go into a WAV mode, I might comment that Pantone is a proprietary American colour (or color) system. "Truly British" might have tried to pick a purple from one of the British Standard ranges. As for purple and royalty. I've seen quite a few people in a shade purple lately. These are people from a Norfolk Council service who have helped getting dad to bed while we are stuck. Hard working carers rather than Royalty. Personally, I'd rather associate the colour with the Swift/Night Owl teams that I would with HM.
