Hootenanny, I suspect the band was PLAYING Appalachian folk music, rather than BEING a folk music band from Appalachia, but I've been wrong before, and will be again... "They met playing in Appalachian folk bands in Sussex, and now they do something that’s very much not folk, but it’s there in their roots."
