Elizabeth Baxter, wife of Ron Baxter (Mudcat's SailorRon when he had an on-line presence) passed away early Sunday morning. Her care during long-term failing health had been Ron's sole concern and he is understandably distraught.

Elizabeth will be remembered by many. Despite mobility problems she never failed to turn up at Fylde Folk Festival venues to meet and greet the many friends and acquaintances who visited every year. She gave unstinting support to Ron's many Folk Club musical and dramatic productions, and to his efforts on behalf of Fleetwood, her adopted home. Their church supports them now as they supported it.
