Lighter said: "BTW, Justice Thomas's opinion explicitly encourages litigation to overturn protections for sexual acts between consenting adults, gay marriage, and (not making this up) use of contraceptives." ********************************************************************* Interracial marriage in the United States has been fully legal in all U.S. states since the 1967 Supreme Court decision that deemed anti-miscegenation state laws unconstitutional (via the 14th Amendment adopted in 1868) with many states choosing to legalize interracial marriage at much earlier dates. This falls into the same category as these other proposed litigations and if it were overturned, would make Justice Thomas's marriage illegal. He's a bit of a hypocrite, don't you think?
