Phil Chevron who wrote The Pogues song was the frontman to one of the earliest Irish punk bands, Radiators From Space. With them, he wrote many good tunes including Under Clery's Clock (a beautiful gay love song), and Song of the Faithful Departed. The man was an amazing poet.
