Saw them at this year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe and they were absolutely brilliant as ever: a sell-out in a 450-seat theatre as was I think the rest of their run for several weeks. Odd now to think they were talking about a “final tour” as long ago as 2003, as John Mackenzie reported above! What did happen this year though, 2 days after we saw them, they had to call off a couple of nights, owing to a “family emergency”: it later emerged via their own Facebook page that this had involved Dilly’s husband suffering a serious stroke and subsequently dying as a result, very sadly. And yet, they were back on stage a couple of days later to complete their run of shows. Sheer professionalism!
